saudi school _Duba

Duba is located in northwest of Saudi Arabia on the coast of the Red Sea on the Egyptian road of the Hajj, about 300 km from the intersection of Egypt, Jordan and Israel. Duba includes 3 valleys, Dahkan to the north, and Salma and Kafafah on south. It is about 800 km from Jeddah / Mecca via coastal highway that passes through the major port and industrial city of Yanbu.

Duba is a port city and ferries and ships operate from here for Egypt and Jordan. The Hurgada and Safaga ports of Egypt can be reached within about 3 hours (minimum) by ferry. It is strategically located at the starting point of Gulf of Aqaba that ends at Ellat (Israel) and Aqaba, Jordan.

The Springs of Maqna are an interesting picnic spot and there are notable beaches such as Sharma Beach, though it is not developed as a tourist spot.

Historically it is part of Madian; the city is mentioned in heavenly scriptures. According to Quran, Hazrat Mosa settled in Madian (the region starts from Jordan river and extends to the town of Duba) where Hazrat Shoaib hosted him. The Hazrat Shoib Ki Basti (town) as it is called is said to be located near Maqna where an ancient well can still be seen. The well is said to be the one where Hazrat Mosa fed Hazrat Shoaib's flock.

he name Jazan came from Jaza Al-Jan: in Arabic the punishment of jinn by the time of the King Solomon. Then it received another name Al-Mekhlaf Al-Sulaymani, the ancient covenant which was done by Sulayman Bin Taraf Bin Abduljad Al-Hakami, the leader of Hakam there. Hakam is a tribe that comes from Qahtan. Many of this tribe had lived in Damascus and it had good relations with the Abbasids. And this is not 100% true .

Geographically, the province divides into three parts.

  • The Al-Sarawat mountains inland are a continuation of the mountains of Ethiopia and the Rift Valley, and rise to about 3,000 metres.
  • The Alhazoun forest district consists of forest broken by some areas of rich pasture.
  • The plains are noted for the production of coffee beans, cereal grain crops (barley, millet and wheat) and fruit (apples, bananas, grapes, mangoes, papayas, plums and citrus varieties).

The unwillingness of governments and feudal elites to give full-fledged property rights of land to their tenants is cited as the chief obstacle to development. lack of economic freedom inhibits entrepreneurship among the poor. New enterprises and foreign investment can be driven away by the results of inefficient institutions, notably corruption, weak rule of law and excessive bureaucratic burdens. Lack of financial services, as a result of restrictive regulations, such as the requirements for banking licenses, makes it hard for hard for even smaller microsavings programs to reach the poor.
